Our mission is to revolutionize agriculture through the development of Robots and AI that facilitate precision crop management. Our advanced AI-driven camera systems are capable of counting, sizing, and measuring the growth of every fruit on over a million trees in orchards. We aim to empower farmers to produce food more efficiently and sustainably.

Our technology is already in use by farmers in some of the largest orchards across the nation.

We are seeking a Perception Software Engineer who will leverage their extensive expertise to devise innovative, practical, and robust solutions to complex, real-world computer vision challenges related to perception and localization. Our tractor-mounted camera systems must accurately determine their location and identify the fruit they are observing to analyze millions of fruits throughout the year.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and refine perception and localization algorithms for our cutting-edge camera systems that analyze millions of fruits in orchards.
  • Implement intelligent filtering of sensor data to interpret complex, real-world information, as our systems generate terabytes of data daily.
  • Fuse various sensor data (depth, GPS, IMU, etc.) to accurately locate our camera systems within orchards and identify fruits and trees.
  • Optimize code for high-performance edge computing using Python and C++.
  • Build comprehensive testing frameworks to assess and validate system performance across a variety of real-world scenarios.
  • Support various aspects of our software and hardware as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in robotics software, either in industry or academia.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: computer vision, stereo depth perception, robot pose estimation and tracking, object detection, multi-object tracking, scene re-localization, sensor fusion, motion tracking, and image processing.
  • Strong grasp of core robotics software principles, geometry, and localization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in developing robotics software from the ground up.
  • A quick learner with a willingness to take on diverse roles and responsibilities as the company expands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in deploying and optimizing robotics algorithms for efficient performance on embedded systems like NVIDIA Jetson.
  • Familiarity with integrating data from GPS, IMU, depth, and other sensors.
  • Experience with embedded edge computing platforms.
