Position Overview

The Certified PEGA System Architect will engage with Business Analysts to design and implement new systems or enhance existing functionalities using the PEGA BPM platform and PEGA Cloud.

Work Arrangement

This role is HYBRID, requiring on-site presence two days a week.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • PEGA certification as a System Architect with at least 5 years of post-certification experience.
  • Proficient in PEGA Cloud technologies.
  • Experience in creating data classes and properties during PEGA implementations.
  • Familiarity with Designer Studio for refining and enhancing case lifecycle designs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PEGA's rules-based architecture for configuring and testing application functionalities, including process flows and UI screens.
  • Experience with Scrum development methodologies.
  • Ability to integrate with databases using stored procedures and execute database queries.
  • Experience with database integration using SQL Server, DB2, and Sybase.
  • Familiarity with Process Commander Automated unit testing and PEGA Agile Studio.
  • Exposure to full life-cycle experience in large systems, particularly within the government sector, with an understanding of government business processes and operations.
  • Strong documentation skills for requirements, functional design, and test execution.
  • Proficient in converting business needs into process flows and designing enterprise-level architecture.
  • Experience with data modeling and relational database concepts.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • A four-year college degree or equivalent technical study is required.
  • Overall technical analysis and IT experience of 9+ years is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate user needs and develop PEGA technological solutions to address them.
  • Conduct unit testing of personal and team outputs using PEGAUnit rule testing.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and users during system testing phases.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Working knowledge of PEGA cloud infrastructure and PEGA 8.1.
  • Strong background in requirements gathering, tracking, and analysis, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with PEGA Rules Process Commander: PRPC 6.x and above, PEGA Smart BPM, and PEGA Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO).
