Position Overview
The Certified PEGA System Architect will be tasked with collaborating alongside Business Analysts to create new systems and enhance existing functionalities utilizing the PEGA BPM platform and PEGA Cloud.
Work Arrangement
This role is HYBRID, requiring on-site presence 2 days per week.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- PEGA certification as a System Architect with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience following certification.
- Proficiency in PEGA Cloud.
- Experience in developing data classes and properties within PEGA implementations.
- Skilled in using Designer Studio to refine and improve case lifecycle designs.
- Comprehensive understanding of the PEGA rules-based architecture for configuring and testing application functionalities, including process flows, UI screens, automated decisions, and properties.
- Familiarity with Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience in database integration using stored procedures and executing database queries.
- Knowledge of Database Integration with SQL Server, DB2, and Sybase.
- Experience with Process Commander Automated unit testing.
- Familiarity with PEGA Agile Studio.
- Exposure to full life-cycle experience in large systems, preferably within the government sector, with a solid understanding of government business processes and operations.
- Strong documentation skills for requirements, functional design, and test execution.
- Ability to translate business requirements into process flows and design architectures at an enterprise level, proficient in project management tools.
- Experience in data modeling, relational database concepts, case configuration, and translating business needs into system requirements.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
- A four-year college degree or equivalent technical education is required.
- Overall technical analysis and IT experience of 9 years or more is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate user needs and develop PEGA technological solutions to address these needs.
- Conduct unit testing of their work and the team's work using PEGAUnit rule testing.
- Engage with business analysts and/or users during the system testing phase of their programs.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Working knowledge and experience with PEGA cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with PEGA version 8.1.
- Strong background in requirements gathering, tracking, and analysis, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with PEGA Rules Process Commander: PRPC 6.x and above, PEGA Smart BPM, and PEGA Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO).
- Understanding of application design and development principles.
