Position Overview
The Certified PEGA System Architect will engage in collaboration with Business Analysts to design and implement new systems or enhance existing functionalities using the PEGA BPM platform and PEGA Cloud.
Work Arrangement
This position is HYBRID, requiring on-site presence 2 days per week.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess:
- A PEGA certification as a System Architect with at least 5 years of professional experience following certification.
- Hands-on experience with PEGA Cloud.
- Proficiency in creating data classes and properties during PEGA implementations.
- Experience utilizing Designer Studio to optimize and enhance case lifecycle designs.
- A comprehensive understanding of the PEGA rules-based architecture for configuring and testing application functionalities, including process flows, user interfaces, automated decisions, and properties.
- Familiarity with Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience in database integration using stored procedures and executing database queries.
- Knowledge of Database Integration with SQL Server, DB2, and Sybase.
- Experience with Process Commander Automated unit testing.
- Exposure to PEGA Agile Studio.
- Full life-cycle experience in large systems, preferably within the government sector, with an understanding of government business processes and operations.
- Strong skills in documenting requirements, functional designs, and test execution.
- Expertise in converting business requirements into process flows and designing enterprise-level architecture.
- Experience in data modeling, relational database concepts, and translating business requirements into system/functional requirements.
- A 4-year college degree or equivalent technical education.
- A minimum of 9 years of overall technical analysis and IT experience is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate user needs and develop PEGA technological solutions to address them.
- Conduct unit testing of their work and the team's work using PEGAUnit rule testing.
- Collaborate with business analysts and/or users during system testing of developed programs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Possess working knowledge and experience with PEGA cloud infrastructure.
- Have experience with PEGA version 8.1.
- Demonstrate a strong background in requirements gathering, tracking, and analysis, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Have experience with PEGA Rules Process Commander: PRPC 6.x and above, PEGA Smart BPM, and PEGA Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO).
- Understand application design and development principles.
