The Good Seed CDC is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth aged 12-25 through innovative suicide prevention initiatives. Our Media Outreach Program focuses on raising awareness, providing resources, and engaging the community through various media platforms.

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker or Therapist to serve as a local consultant for our Youth Suicide Prevention Media Outreach Program. The consultant will play a key role in providing expert guidance, support, and resources to the program, focusing on mental health, crisis intervention, and community engagement.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Consultation & Guidance**: Provide expert advice on mental health-related content, strategies, and best practices for youth suicide prevention.
  • **Crisis Intervention Support**: Assist in developing and refining crisis intervention protocols and offer support for cases that arise through the outreach program.
  • **Community Engagement**: Collaborate with local schools, youth support clubs, and community organizations to promote mental health awareness and provide training.
  • **Content Review & Development**: Review and contribute to the creation of educational materials, social media content, and outreach strategies aimed at supporting youth mental health.
  • **Training & Workshops**: Lead or support workshops, training sessions, and presentations for educators, parents, and community members on youth mental health and suicide prevention.
  • **Program Evaluation**: Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the outreach program and recommend improvements based on evidence-based practices.
  • **Collaboration**: Work closely with program staff, including the project manager, marketing teams, and other consultants, to ensure program alignment with mental health best practices.

**Qualifications**

  • **Education**: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • **Licensure**: Licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in California.
  • **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with youth in mental health settings, preferably with a focus on suicide prevention.

  • Strong understanding of youth mental health issues and suicide prevention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and community stakeholders.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
