Position Overview:
As a Nursing Team Coordinator, you will oversee and guide nursing and support personnel during your assigned shift. You will assess staffing levels and allocate assignments based on staff availability, capabilities, patient census, acuity, and workflow. Direct patient care may be provided as necessary. You will collaborate with staff to resolve issues and may take on patient assignments to fulfill staffing requirements. Your role includes evaluating patient care effectiveness and identifying factors impacting patient outcomes. You will address patient care complaints through established channels and perform specific duties such as entering orders, managing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers. Ensuring that staff have the necessary equipment and supplies for safe, quality patient care is essential. You will integrate evidence-based practices into clinical operations and foster an environment that promotes professional growth.Minimum Educational Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Required Skills:
Strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential. You must be capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment and taking appropriate actions. Certifications Needed:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, along with AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire. Licensure:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a Compact State is mandatory.
