Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Gecko Hospitality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs, Line Cooks, and Kitchen Assistants
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and supply chain to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other department heads to achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen
  • Proven track record of leading a team and achieving results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
