Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Case Reviewer to join our team at the City of New York. As a Senior Case Reviewer, you will be responsible for conducting legally mandated case reviews to ensure compliance with various lawsuit stipulations, settlements, and agreements. You will also be responsible for converting audit findings into reports that will be presented to Family Independence Administration Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct case reviews of applications for cash assistance, Medicaid, and/or SNAP benefits to measure timeliness of expedited SNAP requests, appropriate responses to no food and non-food emergencies, and correct employability assessments.
  • Monitor compliance with mandated deadlines of eligibility determinations of applications and recertification cases.
  • Measure timeliness and adequacy of notices, review Paperless Office System (POS) entries, and review Welfare Management System (WMS) information to determine if cases are coded appropriately.
  • Observe on-site application and recertification interviews at Family Independence Administration (FIA) locations citywide to measure quality of service and accuracy of actions taken.
Requirements
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty.
  • An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described above.
