Position Overview:
HKS is seeking a seasoned Project Architect to enhance our Hospitality division.

A distinguished and licensed Architect with robust design and technical expertise, responsible for overseeing implementation documentation. Efficiently manages the firm's resources, including personnel, processes, and tools, demonstrating proficiency and aptitude. Plays a pivotal role in mentoring staff and embodies the firm's core values and mission.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Directs consultant and technical team efforts to ensure effective project design execution and delivery of implementation documents.
2. Collaborates with Project In Charge (PIC) and Project Manager (PM) to develop and manage production schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
3. Prepares, reviews, and coordinates implementation documents prior to issuance, ensuring compliance with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards and best practices.
4. Manages technical resolutions and coordination for specific project segments.
5. May lead code analysis development and confirm compliance with zoning requirements for assigned project segments.
6. Facilitates design group interactions both internally and externally, leading consultant team work sessions.
7. Coordinates with project managers, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to integrate engineering systems and respond to requests for information and modifications.
8. Prepares and presents client presentations, including design concepts and drawings.
9. Conducts product research and assists project designers in evaluating materials and systems for optimal selections.
10. Oversees the application of market-available products and materials, ensuring adherence to best practices.
11. Leads team meetings to address project and technical issues, ensuring coordination with other disciplines.
12. Attends site visits, field reviews, and project meetings, documenting outcomes as necessary.
13. Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing meeting minutes for consultant coordination.
14. Invests in staff professional development through mentoring and performance management.
15. Identifies, recruits, and nurtures diverse talent.
16. Effectively resolves conflicts and fosters a healthy team environment.
17. Advocates for the firm's principles of 'design excellence' by integrating responsible and sustainable design practices.
18. Understands fundamental accounting principles and project accounting processes.
19. Collaborates in delivering projects within defined budget constraints.
20. Maintains accountability to project plans and utilization rates.
21. Recognizes additional services needed and understands contract implications.
22. May engage in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposals and budgets.

Qualifications:
- Accredited professional degree in Architecture.
- Architectural Registration is mandatory.
- Typically requires 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Sustainable design accreditation is preferred.
- Proficient in Revit and architectural software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3D modeling tools.
- Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of sustainability and integrated design guidelines.
- Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, accessibility guidelines, and QA/QC processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and ability to incorporate them into implementation documents.
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain and cultivate client relationships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
