Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at FirstHealth of the Carolinas. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient care areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage patient flow to ensure effective and quality care
  • Lead shift huddles to facilitate communication and coordination among team members
  • Support daily operations, including completing patient assignments and ensuring team members have necessary resources
  • Provide first-line resolution to patient, team member, and provider complaints
  • Elevate concerns to the Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing as needed
  • Support organizational quality initiatives and throughput goals
  • Complete required daily reports and checklists
Requirements
  • Current North Carolina RN licensure (or compact state)
  • Minimum two (2) years patient care experience
  • Strong problem-solving, flexibility, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under high levels of stress
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to perform multiple tasks at once in an organized manner
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with nursing leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Specialty Certification
  • Experience working as a charge nurse in an acute care setting
