Staff Development Coordinator - RN

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Staff Development Coordinator - RN to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to coordinate our staff development program, provide orientation for new employees, and conduct training sessions on blood borne pathogens and hazard communication standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the staff development program, including planning and implementing training sessions and workshops.
  • Provide orientation for new employees, ensuring they understand our policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions on blood borne pathogens and hazard communication standards, ensuring all employees are up-to-date on the latest protocols.
  • Act as the primary instructor for the Nurse Aide Training Program, as approved by DFS.
  • Post workshops and in-service classes, encouraging attendance and participation.
  • Coordinate and schedule in-house in-service for all staff.
  • Assist the Nursing Management Team in reviewing incident reports and making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a current, valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Five years of nursing experience in a long term care setting, and/or nursing education experience.
  • Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients and genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR certified yearly.
  • Ability to supervise nursing staff and make decisions regarding nursing problems.
  • Ability to teach, instruct, and direct orientation, continuing education, and in-services.
