About the Role

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Registering Patients: Welcome patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner, answering requests for information and ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Verifying Patient Information: Check in patients, verify and update necessary information, and acknowledge patients upon check-in and check-out.
  • Financial Obligations: Advise patients regarding financial obligations, including co-payments, deductible amounts, and insurance eligibility.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain the lobby in a neat and orderly manner, including keeping magazines current, and coordinate physicians' schedules.
  • Communication: Answer telephones, return calls in a timely manner, take messages, handle requests, and provide accurate information as necessary.
  • Record Keeping: Handle mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: One to two years of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
Work Environment

This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays. The pay type is hourly (non-exempt).
