Job Summary

As a key member of our team, the Account Manager will be responsible for implementing sales strategies to increase sales and profits for specified accounts. This role requires building strong customer relationships, developing account management strategies, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of businesses, including current and future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting their business and organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Respond to and coordinate all internal and external activities associated with assigned accounts, including expediting, quoting, providing samples, coordinating meetings, delivery and scheduling issues, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships at various levels within assigned accounts.
  • Develop sales forecasts at assigned accounts to support the S&OP and business planning process.
  • Understand customer applications and problem opportunities and how CTS can provide solutions either with existing products or new product development.
  • Comprehensively understand customer needs and share information internally at CTS.
  • Work with advanced engineering to position CTS for future technologies.
  • Support developing customer strategies at assigned accounts.
  • Provide market intelligence from competitive and customer needs perspectives to aid in CTS strategic product strategies.
Requirements
  • Complete understanding of CTS products and technologies.
  • Strong negotiations and sales abilities.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on objective data gathering consistent with CTS goals and objectives.
  • Self-starter with a results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent time-management and planning skills.
  • Proficient in both written and oral communication in English.
  • Ability to lead individuals and teams in the organization to meet customer requirements in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Travel to customer sites is expected.
  • Proficient in office software such as Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
  • Foreign language skills may be required as dictated by the customer base.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and develop frameworks based on available information.
  • Strong sense of cultural awareness and ability to operate effectively across differing cultures.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
Education and Experience
  • Technical Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Five years of automotive industry experience.
  • Experience with Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, especially with SGM, Autoliv, and Tesla.
