Phoenix Senior Living is looking for a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Specialist to enhance our team.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday; Rotating weekends required

ROLE SUMMARY

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Facilities Director with the comprehensive maintenance and care of our community. Key responsibilities include assisting with minor repairs, collaborating on the identification, inventory, and execution of both large and small maintenance projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Facility Operations

  • Review and update the maintenance log daily, ensuring completion of tasks within your job scope (initial and date each completed task).
  • Conduct inspections of furnishings and coordinate necessary maintenance and deep cleaning with service providers.
  • Perform minor repairs, including replacing faucet washers, fixing window latches, and unclogging toilets and drains.
  • Assist with the installation of bulletin boards, artwork, and essential items in resident suites and staff offices.
  • Act as a point of contact for the Facilities Director, Executive Director, and external contractors.
  • Responsible for touch-up painting, furniture refinishing, and the safe disposal of extraneous materials.
  • Adhere to safety protocols for chemical cleaners and equipment to protect floors and fixtures.
  • Steam clean carpets as needed.
  • Adjust heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including filter replacements.
  • Manage waste disposal by gathering and emptying trash.
  • Clear debris from outdoor areas, including porches and parking lots.
  • Replace light bulbs throughout the facility.
  • Document and notify supervisors regarding the need for significant repairs or upgrades to building systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in a related role.

  • Ability to multitask and manage stress effectively.
  • Understanding and commitment to the assisted living philosophy.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet service demands.
