Your Role:

The HR & Safety Generalist will oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources department, which includes, but is not limited to, talent acquisition, onboarding, training, benefits administration, leave management, talent development, HR compliance, payroll processing, and employee engagement initiatives. Reporting directly to the President, this role is essential in fostering a collaborative community and culture while balancing employee advocacy with business needs. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a strong focus on compliance and safety who will:

  • Leverage their bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, to manage the complete employee lifecycle and partner with leadership to cultivate a robust company culture.
  • Enhance the candidate experience by managing the entire recruitment process, employing innovative talent sourcing strategies, conducting interviews, extending job offers, and facilitating smooth onboarding.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with organizational leaders in areas such as performance management, compensation adjustments, and performance improvement strategies.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and a solid understanding of payroll processing to execute payroll functions accurately. Experience with multi-state payroll and Paycor is preferred.
  • Administer all employee leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements by tracking deadlines, managing paperwork, and providing proactive support to employees.
  • Maintain a compliance-focused approach by ensuring the proper upkeep of I-9 forms, legal postings, annual training audits, safety records, policy updates, employee handbooks, internal ISO documentation, and conducting employment verifications.
  • Educate employees on internal compliance processes related to quality and safety systems.
  • Contribute as a team player by offering general support to visitors, maintaining employee files and internal documents, and coordinating internal management meetings.
