Job Title: Permitting & Regulatory Compliance Specialist I

We are seeking a highly skilled Permitting & Regulatory Compliance Specialist I to join our team at Barghausen Consulting Engineers, a Division of Core States Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and obtaining necessary permits for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a Priority Assignments list to track daily tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the team as needed, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Follow up on the progress of action items as assigned and ensure that all deadlines are met.
  • Manage time and billing responsibly, ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked and expenses incurred.
  • Compile and submit permit/compliance applications, documents, licenses, reports, etc., as assigned by the Manager or designee.
  • Coordinate with the project team to respond to agency comments and ensure timely submission of required documents.
  • Prepare Construction Permit Report for each project per the standard format and update company database to track tasks that are required during and after construction.
  • Research agency requirements and prepare feasibility analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Combination of at least 2 years of relevant experience in a construction permitting and regulatory compliance field, supplemented by business/office courses, Class A/B Operator Certification, associates/bachelor's degree.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
