Job Overview

Position Title: Construction Equipment Specialist

Role Summary: The Construction Equipment Specialist is tasked with the operation and upkeep of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. This role collaborates closely with construction teams and project leaders to ensure tasks are completed with safety, precision, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machinery Operation:

· Follow stringent safety protocols to minimize risks and accidents on site.

· Perform routine safety inspections on machinery, ensuring all safety features are operational.

· Immediately report any machinery issues, safety hazards, or violations.

2. Safety Adherence:

· Examine heavy machinery for any defects before operation.

· Comply with safety regulations to guarantee the secure use of heavy equipment and safeguard personnel and property.

3. Site Preparation:

· Execute grading and excavation tasks to ready the site for construction activities.

· Achieve accurate levels and slopes as per project specifications.

4. Material Management:

· Utilize heavy machinery for loading and unloading materials and debris.

· Move materials and equipment to various locations on the construction site as required.

· Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to avoid damage or accidents.

5. Communication:

· Maintain effective communication with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders.

· Update management on project status, challenges, and any deviations from the plan.

*Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Must successfully pass background checks and drug screenings.

· Valid Driver's License is required.

· Certification or licensure as a heavy equipment operator is essential.

· Strong knowledge of machinery maintenance and safety practices.

· Physical fitness and endurance to operate heavy machinery in outdoor conditions for extended periods.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
