About the Position:

As a key player in our manufacturing division, you will spearhead the development and execution of projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency within trailer production. Your role will involve collaborating with teams to refine existing manufacturing methods and devices, while independently managing intricate projects with minimal oversight.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate process capabilities, identify priority areas for enhancement, and implement innovative solutions for commercial product manufacturing.
  • Utilize your technical expertise to design, innovate, and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and automation systems.
  • Organize and conduct comprehensive technical reviews across various projects.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with quality system requirements.
  • Draft and assess validation protocols and reports related to new manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee the development of builds associated with projects through specialized work requests.
  • Maintain and enhance qualified production lines.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) insights to engineering documentation.
  • Encourage and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Train and guide technicians and engineers, and may provide training to manufacturing staff as needed during validations.
  • Participate as a core or extended team member in new product initiatives.
  • Engage in lean reviews and participate in line-side meetings.
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, following all related procedures and instructions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement that aligns with our Quality Policy and Systems, ensuring all employees are adequately trained and that training is documented.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Management is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on achieving results through collaboration.
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to prepare actionable plans for the upcoming month.
  • Experience in training and developing associates.
  • Daily tracking of performance against established goals and standards.
  • Ability to balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and associate relations effectively.
  • Orientation towards systems thinking and continuous improvement.
  • Attention to detail and a strong quality focus.
  • Competence in problem analysis and resolution.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP is required.
