Position Title:
Senior Product Development Engineer

Department:
Foot & Ankle Solutions

Reporting To:
Engineering Manager

Department Overview:

Our offerings encompass a diverse array of foot and ankle solutions, ranging from total ankle replacements to innovative static fixation and dynamic compression techniques.

Our mission is to introduce various technologies that are scientifically validated to the marketplace.

As a leading entity in the medical device sector for foot and ankle, we aim to provide patients with options throughout their care journey.


Key Responsibilities:
Formulate mechanical engineering solutions to intricate medical challenges.
Develop conceptual designs from initial project ideas to market launch, employing CAD/CAM, rapid prototyping, and injection molding techniques.
Lead research and development teams while collaborating with cross-functional groups.
Create and oversee project plans, directing resources to meet development goals.
Identify and tackle complex mechanical engineering issues.
Engage and collaborate with various departments and external partners.
Maintain an organized workspace to ensure development targets are achieved.
Track project progress and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends and advancements.

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 6 years of pertinent experience in mechanical engineering, product development, or a closely related field
Previous experience in developing conceptual designs from project inception to launch
Experience in leading research and development teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of design and manufacturing processes, including CAD/CAM, rapid prototyping, and injection molding
Capability to develop project plans and direct resources to meet development objectives
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Self-driven and capable of working independently
Proven ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical engineering challenges
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel, expected to be 10% or less.
