We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Marion County. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide assessment and treatment services to individuals and families with complex needs and diagnoses. You will work independently to provide crisis assessment and intervention services, and collaborate with other agencies to obtain services and resources.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group therapy to individuals using evidence-based practices
- Conduct community risk assessments and develop conditional release plans to mitigate risk
- Prepare risk assessments and other documentation necessary for community release and placement
- Provide PSRB supervision and monitoring to ensure individuals are in compliance with their conditional release orders
- Assess risk and create and implement safety plans to mitigate risk
- Possession of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- At least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field
- Knowledge of community mental health concepts and/or chemical dependency case management and treatment services
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with other employees, individuals and their families, and other agencies
