Job Overview:

This role operates under the general oversight of the Production Planning Manager. The primary responsibility is to ensure the effective utilization and operation of the mainframe ERP manufacturing planning system. Key tasks include managing Costpoint, overseeing production work order releases, material allocations, BOM management, capacity and load planning, as well as executing project and Work Center schedules. The position requires minimal supervision of daily tasks, with an expectation of independent decision-making regarding work activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily reviews of Costpoint, ensuring the accuracy of outputs and initiating corrective measures for any discrepancies. Collaborate with the Purchasing department to address due date and shortage concerns before releasing work orders to meet customer delivery commitments. Monitor daily actions in Costpoint, generating reports such as exception message reports, Excess Inventory Allocation reports, Open Work Order reports, Work Center labor and dispatch reports, and Project Shortage reports. Oversee the work order process, including revision control, material availability, work order releases, maintenance of start and completion dates, adjustments to material allocations, labor requirements, variance analysis, and management of released BOMs and routers. Support Work Centers in managing dispatch reports, prioritizing work orders, and overseeing schedule management. Assist in the creation of production schedules and Work Center capacity load schedules. Alert the Production Planning Manager when available resources do not align with the production plan (MPS) or when there is a risk to meeting contract deadlines. Manage and implement project production schedules to align with the Master Schedule and contractual delivery timelines. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of Costpoint. APICS certification is a plus. Proficient in computer systems with the ability to quickly learn Costpoint as it pertains to Production Control and Inventory Management. Familiarity with ERP Manufacturing Planning Systems, particularly Costpoint, along with experience in requisitioning, purchasing, stocking, controlling, and issuing inventory. At least 4 years of experience in production planning, preferably in an environment focused on electro/mechanical products for military applications. Basic understanding of blueprint reading and interpretation of documentation related to the fabrication and production of electromechanical products. Knowledge of processes and procedures necessary for fabricating, wiring, and assembling electromechanical subassemblies, assemblies, and systems. Ability to create moderately complex spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) and Microsoft Word.

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the salary range for this position is $63,500 - $118,500. This range is not a guarantee of compensation, as the final offer may vary based on factors such as experience and geographic location.
