Job Overview:

This role operates under the general oversight of the Production Planning Manager. The individual in this position is accountable for the effective utilization and operation of the primary ERP manufacturing planning system. Responsibilities encompass production work order initiation, material distribution, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, capacity and load forecasting, as well as project and Work Center scheduling execution. The position requires minimal supervision of daily tasks, with an expectation of independent decision-making regarding work responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducts daily reviews of the ERP system, ensuring output accuracy and initiating corrective measures for any discrepancies. Collaborates with the Purchasing department to address due date and inventory shortage concerns prior to the release of work orders, ensuring alignment with customer delivery commitments. Analyzes daily ERP outputs, including exception reports, excess inventory allocations, open work orders, Work Center labor reports, and project shortage reports. Oversees the work order lifecycle, including revision management, material availability, work order initiation, maintenance of start and completion dates, material allocation adjustments, labor requirements, and variance analysis. Aids Work Centers in managing dispatch reports, prioritizing work orders, and overseeing schedule execution. Assists in the creation of production schedules and Work Center capacity load plans. Alerts the Production Planning Manager when available resources are insufficient to meet the production plan or contractual deadlines. Manages and implements project production schedules to align with the Master Schedule and contractual delivery timelines. Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills:

Comprehensive knowledge of the ERP system. APICS certification is a plus. Proficient in technology and capable of quickly mastering the ERP system as it pertains to Production Control and Inventory Management. Familiarity with ERP Manufacturing Planning Systems, particularly in requisitioning, purchasing, inventory control, and issuance. At least 4 years of experience in production planning, preferably in a setting producing electro/mechanical products for defense applications. Basic understanding of blueprint interpretation and documentation used in the manufacturing of electromechanical products. Knowledge of the procedures required for fabricating, wiring, and assembling electromechanical subassemblies and systems. Ability to create moderately complex spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) and Microsoft Word.

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the salary range for this position is $63,500 - $118,500. This range is not a guarantee of compensation, as the final offer may vary based on factors such as experience and location.
