Position Title: Senior Geomatics Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Authenticate and endorse survey documentation.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the technical components of projects, potentially managing survey initiatives.
  • Engage with clients to review ongoing projects, assess performance, and explore additional business prospects.
  • Lead field teams by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring quality control of deliverables.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal drafting, project oversight, and comprehensive review of survey outputs.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proven leadership and communication abilities with both team members and clients.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with a focus on training and guiding others to achieve project goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of local surveying regulations, methodologies, and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in survey processing software and technical tools, including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Familiarity with field equipment such as GPS and robotic total stations.
  • Ability to tackle complex challenges with sound judgment and innovative thinking.
  • Strong mathematical skills, particularly in algebra and trigonometry.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related discipline, along with state/provincial licensure in Land Surveying or equivalent credentials. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required.

This role typically involves working in an office environment with extended periods of computer use, as well as fieldwork that may expose you to various weather conditions.
