Key Responsibilities:

As an INTERIM MDS Specialist | RN, your primary duties will include the precise and timely execution of the RAI process and care management from admission through discharge, adhering to company policies, federal and state regulations, and relevant guidelines. You will oversee essential processes such as Minimum Data Set completion, discharge planning, and admission tracking. Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing and VP of Clinical Reimbursement, you may also facilitate the operation of information systems and provide education within the clinical department.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for working with the elderly population
  • A dynamic, adaptable, and engaging personality
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in your practicing state
  • Prior experience with MDS processes is highly desirable
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a Long-Term Care/SNF/Assisted Living/Memorial Care environment is preferred
  • Strong understanding of Case-Mix, Federal Medicare PPS, and Medicaid reimbursement is advantageous
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Quality Indicator process, OBRA regulations, and Minimum Data Set is essential
  • Familiarity with the care planning process is required
  • Professional demeanor in both appearance and conduct
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
