Position Summary: We are in search of a skilled FAA-licensed Airframe & Powerplant Technician to join our Aviation Maintenance Team. The Aircraft Maintenance Specialist will be accountable for the thorough inspection, repair, and upkeep of our fleet of aircraft, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of aviation safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections that align with company standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Enhance aircraft dispatch reliability and operational availability.
  • Schedule maintenance activities efficiently to minimize disruptions to flight operations.
  • Oversee inspections, repairs, and modifications to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual maintenance budgets, including operational and capital expenditure recommendations.
  • Act as a technical resource and subject matter expert on company aircraft.
  • Propose enhancements, modifications, and upgrades for aircraft performance.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company and FAA requirements for aircraft records.
  • Support the development of maintenance work scopes, obtain proposals, and review invoices for accuracy.
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors and industry partners.
  • Serve as the point of contact for maintenance-related inquiries during after-hours, including weekends and off-hours as necessary.

  • Proficient in resolving complex technical challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge of avionics and aircraft systems.
  • Engaged with advancements in aviation technology.
  • Skilled in using technology and software applications, including Computerized Maintenance Programs.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work beyond standard office hours.
  • Travel may be required, both domestically and internationally.
  • Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Must maintain physical ability to perform all job functions.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Bombardier and Gulfstream aircraft.
  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance tracking software.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED required. An FAA Certified Airframe Powerplant (A&P) License is mandatory, with Inspection Authorization preferred. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in business aviation maintenance and avionics.

Abilities: Candidates must be willing to support overtime and on-call duties as required, with the ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs and work at heights with proper safety measures.
