We are seeking a highly skilled Key Account Executive to join our team at Staples. As a Key Account Executive, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with our largest customers, driving sales growth and revenue expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to high-priority support requests from Regional Sales Directors and coordinate response and required visits with Account Managers.
- Team with Account Managers to plan growth strategies across complex and high-touch accounts.
- Visit customers to help Account Managers close Data Center deals by bringing expertise and knowledge of Staples' offering.
- Ensure executed wins by passing won opportunities to Key Account Managers and Customer Success Consultants to facilitate the execution of won deals.
- Facilitate issue and admin work to Customer Success Consultants.
- Coordinate with inside Tech teams as needed.
- Work with Sales Engineers and Architects as well as OEM/Disty Partner support teams to create solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure alignment with OEMs and leverage effective solutions to customers.
- Broad knowledge of the Enterprise computing landscape, including Data Center Solutions, Cyber Security, and Networking infrastructure solutions.
- Ability to position and support our offering vs. a cloud solution.
- Impeccable oral and written communication skills.
- Persuasive interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with strong self-management skills and demonstrated success in larger contract long-sell cycle environments.
- Ability to work cross-functionally while managing a dynamic sales process.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 5+ years of demonstrated successful strategic relationship building and solution selling experience in the Fortune 1000 and/or Global 500 market.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 2+ years' experience in the Technology Industry (Data Center Solutions).
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools.
- Experience with business-to-business sales process.
