Account Specialist II Role

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Account Specialist II to join our commercial risk team in Philadelphia, PA. As an Account Specialist II, you will play a critical role in assisting Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients, and undertaking client-facing and internal activities related to these processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients.
  • Undertake client-facing and internal activities related to these processes, including submission assembly, data analysis, and stewardship reporting.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, serving independently in a client-facing capacity on matters of moderate importance and complexity.
  • Perform submission assembly, creation, and facilitation of the timely and accurate flow of information between clients and account team members.
  • Handle client open items lists and respond to client ad-hoc requests, gathering and analyzing data to draft assigned elements of stewardship reports and other presentations.
  • Actively support and monitor the renewal process, drafting quote comparisons and following up for binders, policies, and endorsements as directed by the Broker.
  • Collaborate with Premium Accounting on client billing matters and serve as the primary point of contact with Aon Client Services (ACS) to ensure key processes are performed efficiently and quality of client deliverables.
  • Receives and handles routine and sophisticated coverage inquiries and endorsement requests, serving as the key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, and policy transmittals.
  • Monitors and follows-up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables, and collections, addressing and resolving problems as needed.
  • May provide guidance and mentoring to a less senior account specialist, delegating work to support staff and ACS where applicable.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of previous commercial insurance experience preferred.
  • Property and casualty brokers license preferred or to be obtained within 120 days of start date.
  • Maintains effective and positive relationships with clients, serving independently in a client-facing capacity on matters of moderate importance and complexity.
