Parachute Equipment Specialist

As a Parachute Equipment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and operational readiness of parachute systems for airborne operations. Your responsibilities will include the meticulous inspection, testing, and packing of parachutes along with their extraction and release mechanisms. You will be accountable for the maintenance and repair of all parachute gear before, during, and after airdrop missions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on parachute systems.
- Pack parachutes and ensure all components are functioning correctly.
- Assemble rigging components and secure supplies within aircraft.
- Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on parachute equipment.
Skills Development:
- Expertise in Rigging Supplies
- Proficiency in Testing & Inspection
- Advanced Maintenance & Repair Techniques
Training Requirements:
- 10 weeks of Basic Training
- 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
- 88 ASVAB Score: General Maintenance (GM)
- 87 ASVAB Score: Combat (CO)
Certifications:
- 6 Nationally Recognized Certifications Available
Educational Benefits:
