We are currently seeking a Level One IT Helpdesk Technician with a strong background in Office 365 to enhance our IT department. The Help Desk Technician will promote a workplace culture that prioritizes employee well-being through adherence to health and safety best practices, in alignment with our core values of respect, resilience, safety, and collaboration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver first-line technical assistance to users through various communication channels.
- Diagnose and rectify hardware and software challenges associated with Office 365 applications.
- Support the configuration, setup, and upkeep of Office 365 accounts and workstations.
- Work closely with the IT team to escalate intricate issues and guarantee prompt resolutions.
- Manage user account tasks effectively.
- Oversee and respond to IT helpdesk requests, ensuring swift resolution and precise documentation.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of technical documentation and knowledge base entries.
- Engage in IT initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Remain informed about industry developments and new technologies.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (preferred).
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in providing technical support within an IT helpdesk setting.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Office 365.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Understanding of Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Exceptional communication and customer service capabilities.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent are advantageous.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office environment with potential for remote work.
- Hybrid work model with a combination of on-site and remote responsibilities.
