Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Installer to join our team at OmniOn Power. As a Telecommunications Installer, you will play a critical role in empowering smarter business operations by connecting equipment, software, and services to protect, control, and optimize assets within electrical infrastructures.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications DC power equipment installation, with experience in pulling and sewing cable, construction of cable racking, and bay mounting. You will be responsible for leading small to medium-sized service projects, ensuring on-time completion and quality of the installation project, and maintaining inventory and staging of equipment and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead small to medium-sized service projects
  • Ensure on-time completion and quality of the installation project
  • Maintain inventory and staging of equipment and materials
  • Assist Level IV Technician on lead verification (voltage)
  • Add or remove DC power systems, batteries, and common systems equipment hardware
  • Support installation, commissioning of wireless, datacenter, and electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Three years of experience in Telecom DC power equipment installation
  • Two years of experience in pulling & sewing cable, construction of cable racking, bay mounting
  • Valid driver's license
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time
  • Ability and willingness to work varying shifts (swing shifts)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Prior field engineering experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • AC Electrical Experience
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove lb. batteries.
  • Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
  • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
  • Continuous standing
  • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
  • Frequently crouching or squatting
  • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold.
