We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

Expertise in Structured Cabling:

In-depth knowledge of Division 27 structured cabling practices.

Familiarity with BICSI Standards:

Understanding of industry standards set by BICSI.

Field Testing Proficiency:

Demonstrated experience with field test equipment for cabling.

Experience with Cat6 and Cat6A:

Preference for candidates with hands-on experience in Cat6 and Cat6A cabling.

This role entails significant manipulation of cables and telecommunication devices, alongside the installation and upkeep of Category 6 and 6A network cables. The technician will also be responsible for the installation and testing of Voice over IP (VoIP) phones.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support for Unify Phone System:
  • Manage additions, modifications, and relocations within the Unify phone system.
  • Perform troubleshooting on telecommunication devices to ensure prompt resolution of issues.

  1. Cable Installation Duties:
  • Carry out the installation and maintenance of Category 6 and 6A network cabling.
  • Ensure that cable configurations adhere to specified standards.

  1. VoIP Phone Installation:
  • Install and conduct performance testing on Voice over IP phones.

Required Skills:

Cable Installation Experience:

  • At least 6 months of experience in cable installation.
  • Background in electrical wiring or a related discipline.

Phone Installation Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in phone installations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences effectively.

Customer Service Orientation:

  • Strong customer service skills for professional client interactions.

Troubleshooting Skills:

  • Basic understanding of troubleshooting techniques for telecommunication devices.

Essential Skills Summary:

6 months of experience in cable installations (related to electrical wiring) and 6 months in phone installations.
