Job Title: Groundskeeper - Relais & Châteaux

Job Summary:

The Groundskeeper is a vital member of our maintenance team at Relais & Châteaux, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, attractiveness, and safety of our grounds and facilities. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the grounds and facilities, including lawns, gardens, and walkways, to ensure a high level of presentation and safety.

  • Operate and maintain various equipment and vehicles, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and snow machines, to ensure they are in good working order.

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of buildings, including painting, carpentry, and plumbing tasks.

  • Perform routine checks on equipment and report any issues to the maintenance supervisor.

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of fireplaces and firewood supplies.

  • Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor, including assisting with special events and projects.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

  • OSHA General Industry certification preferred.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
