Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Patient Services Representative to join our Neurology Concussion team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient check-in and check-out functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  • Coordinate patient flow, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to patient and physician inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; five years of experience in a related role within healthcare, with three years of experience in a patient services or registration role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records and revenue cycle systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance requirements for reimbursement.
