Job Summary

Richland One is seeking a skilled and dedicated Instructional Assistant to support the Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. As an integral member of the educational team, you will assist in creating a well-organized and engaging learning environment for young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in planning and implementing educational activities tailored to the needs of Pre-Kindergarten students.
  • Assist with the daily routines, including supervising students during playtime, mealtime, and transitions.
  • Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, ensuring their inclusion and participation in class activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers to prepare materials, manage classroom supplies, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of child development principles, curriculum design, and instructional methods.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
