Position Summary:

We are seeking a Director of Marketing and Business Development who is proactive and possesses substantial experience in healthcare marketing. This role is pivotal in orchestrating and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies, including public relations and sales initiatives, to ensure optimal patient occupancy within our facilities. The individual will also serve as a representative of ClearSky Health to local healthcare providers, fostering positive relationships and promoting our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, execute, assess, and enhance integrated strategic marketing and sales initiatives based on market data and trends.
  • Identify potential collaborations and growth avenues within the healthcare sector, while enhancing departmental efficiency.
  • Oversee and guide clinical liaison objectives, monitoring outcomes related to sales calls, referrals, admissions, and outpatient visits.
  • Ensure the liaison team effectively tracks sales activities, maintains client profiles, and develops monthly sales strategies in alignment with company standards.
  • Achieve targeted volume objectives for average daily census (ADC) and admissions.
  • Ensure compliance with competency standards for clinical liaisons.
  • Collaborate with management to negotiate contracts with payors to drive volume.
  • Coordinate marketing and public relations efforts, including participation in conferences, seminars, advertising, media relations, and government interactions.
  • Work alongside clinical leadership to develop and promote innovative programs and services.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the healthcare sector is required.
  • At least three years of experience in hospital sales and marketing is essential.
  • A bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or marketing is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is advantageous.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of patient demographics, regulatory frameworks, and reimbursement processes affecting hospital operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to devise and implement effective strategic sales plans.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, sitting, and driving, often for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and exert up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to hear overhead announcements.
  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboards.
  • Close vision and the capacity to adjust focus.
