Responsibilities
  • Ensure service protocols for storing, administering, and destroying medications align with current nursing practice and Department of Public Health regulations.
  • Administer medications as ordered by the prescriber, monitoring consumers for clinical and side effects, and documenting observations for review by the prescriber.
  • Complete medication administration documentation in accordance with Eliot policies and procedures, including transfer of physician orders, documentation of Medication Administration records, and sample medication distribution.
  • Contact on-site or on-call prescriber to obtain written or verbal physician orders for CCS client admissions to the program.
  • Conduct and document-controlled substance counts in the controlled substance log book, compliant with applicable regulations and policy.
  • Support and provide medication-assisted treatment, including inductions under the direction of the CCS prescriber.
  • Support and provide harm reduction services, including Eliot detox protocols, medication supports, and monitoring.
  • Provide supports and interventions focusing on maintaining clients at CCS to address behavioral health needs.
Requirements
  • Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Nursing with a minimum of two years of experience in nursing in a psychiatric service.
  • OR
  • Licensed Practical Nurse with 4 years of experience.
  • Excellent written and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Schedule

Available: Monday-Friday 3p-11p

Salary

$85,000 full-time
