AmeraTrail is seeking an experienced and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for the marine industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in sales, we want to hear from you.

About the Role:
  • This full-time position requires frequent travel to cover assigned territory, often involving several hours of driving per day.
  • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of outside sales experience, with a strong background in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
  • Strong knowledge of retail and wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques is essential.
  • The role also demands exceptional verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills, as well as a professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance.
Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct at least 4 professional sales presentations or demonstrations of company products and services per week while onsite at customer locations.
  2. Build and foster a referral network to create new revenue growth opportunities.
  3. Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue.
  4. Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within the client base.
  5. Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company positively.
  6. Overcome objections of prospective customers.
  7. Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, and overprice.
  8. Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
  9. Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation.
  10. Conduct information-only presentations, such as seminars, trade show demonstrations, and other efforts as needed.
  11. Establish front-line assessment of market conditions and advise management and marketing staff of findings.
  12. Build and maintain awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other industry research.
  13. May perform other duties as required by business needs.
Requirements:
  • Marine experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
