As a key member of the operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing revenue potential across the company's portfolio of self-storage assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to properties to review and inspect property conditions, capital expenditures, staffing, occupancy, revenue, and marketing opportunities;
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure properties meet quality and efficiency standards set by the company;
  • Evaluate the performance of District Managers in overseeing on-site personnel;
  • Prepare written summaries of each property visit, with specific observations, judgments, and recommendations;
  • Make presentations to senior management on all major findings;
  • Perform financial analysis, market studies, etc., as may be needed;
  • Maintain a high level of communication and follow-up with senior management;
  • Regularly travel to/from Saratoga Springs, NY to report all findings to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; Preferably an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing, or a related field;
  • 3+ years of experience and demonstrated growth in an Operations position, preferably in Self Storage;
  • The ability to travel across the U.S. and Canada on a very regular basis (typically 50-75%);
  • The ability to collaborate, communicate, and interact with various management levels within the organization;
  • Strong computer skills (MS Suite office of programs including Word, Excel, Access, and Project);
  • Proven ability to consistently perform without direct supervision (self-motivated);
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
