Job Summary

Goodwin Knight, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Asset Manager to join our team. As a key member of our asset management department, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head of Asset Management in overseeing the performance and management of a portfolio of multifamily properties.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, monthly financial reports, and performance forecasts.
Monitor property-level financials, including rent rolls, occupancy rates, and expense management.
Support the Asset Manager in preparing investor reports and presentations.

Property Operations

Collaborate with property management teams to ensure efficient daily operations and maintenance.
Assist in the review and approval of capital expenditure (CapEx) projects and renovations.
Monitor property performance metrics, such as occupancy, rent collections, and tenant retention.
Conduct regular property site visits to ensure adherence to operational standards.

Lease Management

Monitor lease expirations, renewals, and rent adjustments to optimize rental income.
Work with the leasing teams to develop strategies for tenant retention and lease-up campaigns.
Conduct market research to assess competitive positioning, rental trends, and market dynamics.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or 2-4 years of experience in real estate asset management, property management, or a related field, preferably in the multifamily sector.
Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and reports.
Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Ability to travel to properties as needed.
