Role Overview

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless movement of goods and services. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with team members and independently managing customer orders while securing reliable carriers for timely freight transportation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and adhere to Rich's carrier compliance protocols and procedures.
  • Efficiently dispatch drivers, ensuring all relevant shipment details are accurately entered into the Transportation Management System (TMS) and continuously monitored until delivery completion.
  • Promote Rich Products to potential customers and carriers through various outreach methods, including business directories and referrals.
  • Maintain and update customer and carrier profiles within the TMS.
  • Accurately route, enter, and manage customer load tenders and related administrative tasks.
  • Identify and engage both new and existing carriers to build a robust network that supports Rich's customer needs.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with carrier partners to achieve targeted booking prices.
  • Act as a problem-solver and resource for customers, carriers, and team members.
  • Provide assistance to other departments as necessary to ensure overall satisfaction.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate Degree in Logistics or relevant experience in the logistics sector is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented atmosphere while managing multiple priorities.
