Role Overview

As a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing customer orders and coordinating with qualified carriers to transport goods efficiently while maximizing profitability and fostering strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and adhere to Rich's carrier onboarding and compliance protocols.
  • Oversee the dispatch of drivers, ensuring all relevant shipment details are accurately entered into the Transportation Management System (TMS) and continuously monitored until delivery is complete.
  • Promote Rich Products to potential customers and carriers through various outreach methods, including business directories and referrals.
  • Maintain and update customer and carrier profiles within the TMS for effective communication and service.
  • Efficiently manage the routing, scheduling, and administrative tasks associated with customer load tenders.
  • Develop a robust network of carriers to support our logistics operations and enhance service delivery.
  • Engage in proactive rate negotiations with carrier partners to achieve targeted pricing.
  • Act as a resourceful problem-solver for customers, carriers, and team members, ensuring satisfaction across all parties.
  • Provide support to colleagues in other departments as necessary to maintain high service standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support operational objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate Degree in Logistics or relevant experience in the logistics sector is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented atmosphere while managing multiple priorities effectively.
