Job Overview

The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees the daily functions of all warehouse facilities, collaborating closely with the Purchasing and Operations teams to manage material reception, order tracking, and inventory oversight. This role also includes direct supervision of warehouse staff and is pivotal in implementing enhancements to warehouse processes and new Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the Sage/KOJO software system for managing incoming material tickets from suppliers.
  • Develop and coordinate the KOJO Inventory System and streamline warehouse operations.
  • Supervise all personnel assigned to the warehouse operations within the organization.
  • Analyze daily product levels, deliveries, and shipments to enhance inventory control methods.
  • Maintain oversight of stock levels and ensure compliance with inventory control systems, including Min-Max material thresholds.
  • Report on inventory status, supply chain developments, procedural efficiencies, and personnel matters to senior management.
  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and formalize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in the creation and updating of SOPs to mitigate future inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory adjustments and document management.
  • Track scrap and inventory disposal to manage waste effectively.
  • Support tracking of returns and special order materials as required by manufacturers.
  • Engage in internal inventory audits, including warehouse materials and purchase order processing.
  • Facilitate communication and maintain matrices to align material purchases with warehouse and project teams.
  • Ensure confidentiality of company information and costs.
  • Monitor and report on material backorders from suppliers.
  • Track freight as necessary.
  • Complete additional reporting and data entry tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Mental and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Capable of operating a forklift, pallet wrap, computer, and office machinery.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs to access workspaces.
  • Move safely within the warehouse environment.
  • Frequent use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls is required.

Working Conditions

  • This position involves working in both an indoor office environment and a warehouse setting.
  • Access to the primary workspace may require climbing stairs.
