Logistics Team Leader

Position Summary

The Logistics Team Leader oversees and organizes the tasks of personnel involved in the shipping, receiving, and storage of goods. The ideal candidate will take pride in playing a vital role in our ongoing growth and development as part of the team. This is a full-time role on the first shift, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees and organizes the tasks of personnel engaged in shipping, receiving, and storage operations.
  • Analyzes system orders to determine the type and quantity of products required to meet order specifications.
  • Facilitates communication with customers (both internal and external), vendors, and suppliers.
  • Motivates the team to achieve precise inventory management and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
  • Collaborates with various departments to make necessary adjustments for inventory management.
  • Trains staff in the safe operation of equipment.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of our products and operational procedures.
  • Complies with all health, safety, sanitation, and operational standards.
  • Accurately maintains all records and documentation.
  • Ensures accountability for policies and procedures within the team.
  • Provides support to the team wherever necessary.
  • Communicates effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Participates in audits and investigations as required.
  • Promotes a culture of Operational Excellence.
  • Engages in problem-solving initiatives when necessary.
  • Adheres to the Plant Vision and Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Ability to successfully complete Prime Beverage Forklift certification.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds at a time.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume distribution warehouse environment.
  • Experience in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
