Position Summary:

The Automation Engineer will be integral to the development and execution of sophisticated industrial automation systems. This role requires a deep understanding of various technologies and platforms, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and Robotics, to create tailored solutions for our clients in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site assessments and assist in defining project requirements.
  • Design, develop, and implement control systems that support manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create functional and detailed design specifications for both hardware and software solutions.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive test plans, scripts, and protocols to ensure system reliability.
  • Establish and validate software development and production environments.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of systems, either remotely or on-site.
  • Perform testing and qualification activities in compliance with industry standards.
  • Report progress and challenges to the Technical Lead throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to clients post-implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; relevant experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in deploying industrial automation solutions, including design specifications and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with industrial network infrastructure and IIoT solutions is preferred.
  • Technical proficiency with platforms from Rockwell, Aveva, or Siemens is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and relational databases.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary.
