Job Description

Overview

Romanoff Group, a leading provider of electrical services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations and ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
  • Identify and assemble all necessary tools and equipment
  • Conduct safety risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks
  • Install and terminate electrical equipment, including breakers and control panels
  • Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings
  • Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and ensure proper operation
  • Setup and maintain temporary power systems
  • Install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures
  • Maintain knowledge of electrical theory and principles
  • Utilize specialized electrical tools, including ohm meters and multi-meters
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions
  • Identify and manage different types, gauges, and colors of cables and wires
  • Follow instructions and procedures correctly
  • Must be reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing administrative tasks
  • Illustrate knowledge and experience of working with lockout/tagout systems
  • Express an excellent working knowledge of residential building codes and electrical codes
  • Have knowledge in boxing and pulling Romex in compliance with local building codes
  • Willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations
  • Make it to work on time and work the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with proper notification
  • Communicate effectively and possess professional interpersonal skills
  • Able to train and coach coworkers
  • Provide on-site direction and leadership to workers
  • Manage material, deadlines, and quality control of installations
  • Must follow all state/local building regulations from the National Electrical Code

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years documented field work or completion of 4-year electrical apprenticeship program
  • Excellent understanding of the electrical industry
  • Experience finding and repairing faults in electrical systems
  • Must possess all position responsibilities as explained
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements
  • Must be able to work at heights in excess of 30 ft.
  • Must have all required tools
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must submit to criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician
  • Multi-family project experience
  • OSHA 30 hour Training

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting
  • Must be able to speak English and hear to communicate
  • Must be able to use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools
  • Must be able to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding, using appropriate fall protection requirements
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, and wind, while wearing appropriate PPE
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, gloves, and safety toe, construction-grade work boots
