Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical assistance during the design and preconstruction phases to support the owner and Architect Engineer.
  • Oversee the Equipment startup and turnover process utilizing V-Start (KAN-BAN) methodology.
  • Assist in the execution of the project's Quality Control Planning and inspection protocols.
  • Supervise the Field Construction activities of Electrical and Mechanical subcontractors to ensure adherence to schedules and contract specifications.
  • Deliver specialized technical support to company staff as needed to address field construction challenges, including code interpretation and specialty equipment design.
  • Create, distribute, and uphold general instructions and guidelines for field construction practices, aligning with current industry standards and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain essential work control documents that establish mandatory minimum standards for operations, authority, documentation, and record-keeping in compliance with relevant codes and contractual obligations.
  • Review Architect/Engineer specifications and bid inquiries to ensure compliance with technical and code requirements for materials, equipment, and field operations.
  • Continuously investigate, assess, and recommend the adoption of innovative or enhanced construction processes, equipment, materials, techniques, and methods as technology evolves.
  • Engage in constructability assessments of design documents to identify the most cost-effective and schedule-efficient construction methods.
  • Manage the Equipment startup and turnover process using V-Start (KAN-BAN) principles.
  • Provide technical insights to various company functions, including estimating, controls, project management, and other relevant areas.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Electrical Engineering is advantageous.
  • Professional training and experience within the industry.
  • A minimum of five years of extensive experience in the Electrical discipline, with comprehensive knowledge of construction technology, equipment, materials, and methods.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer applications, including web-based project management systems.
  • Willingness to accept project assignments that may necessitate long-term temporary living arrangements or frequent travel to remote job sites.
