Automotive Parts Consultant II

Job Category: AUTO-Parts Department

Primary Responsibilities:

The Automotive Parts Consultant II is responsible for:

Safeguarding the legal, financial, and ethical integrity of the Larry H. Miller Dealerships.

Meeting sales and profit objectives to enhance business growth while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.

Identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies and improve customer service.

Mentoring fellow employees to foster their success.

Reports to: Parts Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Over 50% of the workweek is dedicated to sales and gathering customer information regarding parts requirements. Over 50% of compensation is commission-based.

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of warranty policies and return procedures. Ensure a clean and safe working environment while adhering to all OSHA/EPA regulations. Manage job-related stress effectively and engage positively with colleagues. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

1. Education

2. Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an automotive Parts Department is preferred. At least 1 year of sales experience is preferred. A valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that complies with company policy are required.

3. Skills

Communication: Basic reading and writing skills, effective information conveyance, active listening, and understanding of others' reactions.

4. Knowledge

Familiarity with Larry H. Miller Dealerships' management systems is advantageous. Proficient in using computers and software for data entry and processing. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. Understanding of the English language, including grammar and composition.

Customer Service: Knowledge of customer service principles, including needs assessment and quality standards.

Sales and Marketing: Understanding of methods for promoting and selling products or services.

Mechanical: General knowledge of machinery and tools, including their use and maintenance.

5. Additional Skills

Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to maintain confidentiality and be open to new ideas.

Leadership: Capability to guide and influence others while demonstrating ethical practices.

Time Management: Proficiency in managing time effectively to ensure a consistent workflow.
