Position Overview:

As a vital member of MD Ally, the Patient Intake Coordinator is essential in transforming the healthcare experience for our patients. This role serves as the initial point of contact, setting the stage for a positive care journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with every patient interaction, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to effectively explain the onboarding process, guiding patients to our telehealth platform.
  • Accurately gather and enter patient demographic data, insurance information, and other pertinent details into electronic health records (EHR).
  • Verify and update patient records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative teams to facilitate onboarding workflows and address patient inquiries.
  • Educate patients on accessing our patient portal and utilizing technology to enhance their experience.
  • Adhere to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, maintaining the confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to help them navigate in-network and community resources as outlined in their after-visit summary (AVS).
  • Identify and escalate complex issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in roles such as medical receptionist, healthcare call center representative, or similar positions.
  • Preferred additional certification or degree in healthcare administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities to foster a positive patient experience.
  • Proficient in handling inquiries and resolving complaints with professionalism.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Attention to detail in collecting and inputting patient information accurately.
  • Familiarity with medical and insurance terminology.
  • Sensitivity to diverse patient populations and respectful interaction with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet organizational goals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in processes and responsibilities.
  • Availability to work nights.
