Work Schedule:
Flexible hours are available.
Successful candidates must be able to work in Illinois.
Compensation:
This role is classified as grade 7, with a starting pay of $15.59 per hour. Compensation will be based on the candidate's education and experience, in accordance with the college's compensation guidelines and applicable agreements.

Job Overview:
The individual in this role will perform routine tasks related to food preparation and service. This position emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service, with direct supervision provided by the designated manager.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; or a combination of education and experience.
- Proficient customer service skills.
- Able to organize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse individuals.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Competent in using computers and relevant software, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cash registers and manage financial transactions.
- Prepare food according to guidelines and assist with food preparation tasks.
- Ensure the cafeteria is clean and sanitary, following health regulations.
- Restock food items following deliveries.
- Generate daily reports and reconcile cash drawers.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain necessary training and certifications.
- Safeguard confidential information and comply with privacy regulations.
- Demonstrate respect and understanding for diverse populations.
- Support colleagues during busy periods or staff shortages.
- Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Medium lifting (up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, or 10 lbs constantly).
Work Environment:
Typically noisy.
Environmental Conditions:
Standard office or administrative settings.
