Job Overview:
This position involves performing routine tasks related to food preparation and service. The role is characterized by a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service. Direct supervision is provided by the designated manager.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Proficient customer service skills.
- Able to organize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Competent in using a personal computer and related software, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.
Desired Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register and manage financial transactions.
- Prepare food according to established guidelines and assist with food preparation tasks.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the cafeteria, in compliance with health regulations.
- Restock food items following deliveries.
- Generate daily reports and reconcile cash drawer with register totals.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Maintain necessary training, licenses, and certifications.
- Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with privacy laws.
- Demonstrate respect and understanding for diverse populations in the workplace.
- Support colleagues during peak times or staff shortages.
- Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Medium lifting (up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 30 lbs. frequently, or 10 lbs. constantly).
Visual Requirements:
General observation skills.
Work Environment:
Typically noisy.
Environmental Conditions:
Standard office or administrative setting.
